Indiana Jones

Henry Jones Senior, PhD, is a fictional professor of medieval literature, specializing in the Holy Grail. Born around 1872, he is the father of famed archaeologist Indiana Jones. He is portrayed by Sean Connery in the 1989 film, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

A dedicated scholar, Henry is somewhat absent-minded and more comfortable in the library than in the field. His lifelong obsession with finding the Holy Grail caused a strained relationship with his son, as he often prioritized his research above family matters. However, beneath his intellectual exterior lies a courageous and resourceful man willing to face danger to protect those he loves.

During The Last Crusade, Henry's extensive knowledge of the Grail leads him to the brink of discovery, only to be captured by the Nazis. Indiana embarks on a perilous journey to rescue his father, forcing them to confront their fractured past and ultimately work together. The experience strengthens their bond, demonstrating Henry's hidden depths and his deep affection for his son.
